December Schedule of Jobs

The jobs listed are filled when confirmation is made via e-mail.  If there is a position open

please e-mail Pam Carpenter with the Date and Job you wish to volunteer for.

There can be multiple servers per position.  We normally need 5 – 8 servers on the line.

December 4^th - Clothing Distribution day also an SSI attorney at Open Arms on Sunday who is available to meet with folks and

the ACM(Alternative Christmas market is set up in the AC around the room so we are “squeezing into the middle of the room like Mission Sunday.

Clothes Distribution is 7:30-9:30ish at the Madison bldg using the Boarding card system.

All Guests will turn their card in at the Madison bldg. when they get their clothes

Also Please announce the “Homeless Persons' Memorial Service.”

Please join us for the 2011 Homeless Persons' Memorial Service Wed, Dec 21 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square in downtown Tampa (across for County Center).

During this annual service, the lives of our homeless neighbors who died while living on the streets are remembered. The name of each person is read; a candle lit in their memory.

Vicki Walker will attend the service and we will have a signup sheet at check in this Sunday, so guests can add names to the list, if they wish.

Our 2011 Christmas Prayer

“Heavenly Father, whose Son came not to be served but to serve: Bless all who, following in his steps, give themselves to the service of others;

that with wisdom, patience, and courage, they minister in his name to the suffering, the friendless, and the needy”

December 25^th – Christmas Dinner – Chef Richard is preparing a special dinner. Thanks to a generous donation from the Manna Ministry, we will have ham, yams, chicken, green bean casserole

in addition to eggs, breads, sweets and fruit which are also donated . Last Sunday we served over 210 people….

We’ll be setting up tables and decorating in AC at 5pm Sat 12/24. For anyone who would like to join us for 30 min - Kent Hobson, Sherrie Heinz, Andrea, Cronyn family have volunteered
